Sophomores celebrate in the Peter V. Ueberroth Gymnasium. In the spring pep rally, they won 2nd place.

Homecoming Week officially started Monday, though multiple students and faculty started the spirit Friday Oct. 31 by dressing up in creative and exciting costumes.

Activities Coordinator senior Kian Amini is looking forward to student participation this year. “I’m always stoked to see what creative things the students come up with when it comes to dressing up for the themes, and it’s awesome to see the whole student body participating,” he said.

Nov. 3: Pajama Monday

Nov. 4: Techno Tuesday

Nov. 5: Conferences (no classes)

Nov. 6: Tropical Thursday

Nov. 7: Pep Rally

Amini, along with Co-Activities Coordinator senior Aryan Assar, designed the week to get everyone excited for the Homecoming football game against Crean Lutheran High School Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. and the Homecoming dance Nov. 8 at 8 p.m.

“I really hope everyone has fun!” Amini explained. “The whole school coming together dressing up, laughing and having an all-around good time is probably the greatest part of Homecoming week.”

This year, Sage is hosting an all-school tailgate, geared toward alumni as well as students. The tailgate and barbecue start at 5 p.m. on Friday.
