Football Defeats Fairmont Prep 38-7, First Home Game
Breaking a 13-game losing streak on Sept. 6, Sage Hill School’s boys’ varsity football team defeated Fairmont Preparatory Academy 38-7 in its first home football game of the season.
Game Highlights:

- Although the team was challenged by the opposing quarterback’s ability to rush, it prevailed in defense.
- Senior Will Burns was a jack-of-all trades, leading in tackles and receptions with one touchdown and a 5 for 5 kicking record.
- Junior Vincent Wetmore topped the receiving list with one touchdown and 48 yards in total.
- The defensive and offensive lines were crucial as the defense forced four fumbles, ultimately resulting in the team’s victory.
