MUN Team Getting Ready

Sage Hill’s Model United Nations team has been hard at work preparing for its second conference on November 18-19 at Tustin High School.

“I am looking forward to working with fellow delegates to develop solutions for current issues” junior Hannah Romeo said.

Through working with others to solve global issues, MUN students have learned many skills that they can apply to other fields.

“MUN has been a good experience, as I have been able to improve my public speaking skills and research skills,” said Romeo. “It has allowed me to become a better writer and a better critical thinker in my classes because in MUN, I have to be able to come up with and discuss solutions to current issues.”

From drug trafficking to the peacekeeping operations in Africa, the conference will feature a wide array of topics that allow students to learn about issues they may have otherwise never considered.

“Through MUN, I have learned about global issues and cooperation to come up with possible solutions” Hannah said.

Last year at the Tustin High School Conference, the team took home the best small school, and the team is hoping to continue their streak this year.

“I feel excited and hopeful for the conference and I think Sage will probably do well” said Romeo.
