A Rainy Day Slideshow

As the strongest storm in years hits the west coast, people immediately designated the storm as the “Pineapple Express.” All throughout Thursday and Friday, the Pineapple Express created flash floods, black-outs and wind gusts as fast as 71 mph. After almost a year of dry, barren weather, this storm has brought multiple reactions.

Sophomore Justin Sung stated, “Rain is like a vacuum..it sucks.” People all over the Golden State are anxious of the unpredictable rain and winds, which caused two deaths.

While the storm caused fear in the many sun-loving Californians, others have embraced the rain. “This weather makes me emotional, in a good way,” grinned junior Janis Jin as she then proceeded to run into the rain.

As the record-breaking weather continues after almost a decade, the storm has brought life to the lands of the not-so-sunny California.
