Co-chair Leading Juniors to Comeback?

Fueled by a summer trip across Europe,  junior co-chair Sarah Lowey has big plans for this coming school year.

A large portion of the Student Council member’s summer was spent in England, Italy and France. In addition to sightseeing and immersing herself in foreign cultures, Lowey attended a summer program in Oxford, honing her entrepreneurship and studio art skills. Despite fighting homesickness, she said “it was pretty great.”

Lowey recognizes that in past years her fellow juniors have failed to meet their potential, and she resolves to renew the class’s lost energy. She intends on “getting everyone on the same page” and increasing overall cooperation which she predicts will be most evident in pep rallies and general attendance rates.

As she decorates cardboard boxes with mysterious black swirls for a Student Council project, confiding only that they will be used in the first Town Meeting of the year, it is hard to imagine this bubbly star student, athlete and leader will not carry the 11th grade to uncharted heights.

She confesses, “Student Council, I’m really excited for [it]!”

UPDATE: The juniors got third!
