Construction on Campus

Construction of the tennis courts will hopefully be completed by the end of the spring, with the completion of the pool following. Members of the Sage Hill community cannot wait to see the tremendous benefit the new facilities will bring.

“[The pool and tennis courts are] going to give the athletics complex much more of a community feel, but it’s not just the athletics program that will benefit,” Head of School Patricia Merz said. “I think Sage Hill as an entire community will see great changes.”

When Sage Hill’s founders created the school’s original master plan, part of that plan included a pool and tennis courts.

“For us to be able to complete that vision, it’s not only symbolic, it’s incredibly exciting,” Merz said.

Along with the tennis courts and pool, a new athletic training facility and public restrooms will be part of the project.

“I think [all the new facilities] will impact many of our teams because it will definitely draw interest,” Merz said. “We have had families who have chosen not to attend Sage because we don’t have a pool or tennis courts.”

Depending on how much rain there is this Spring, the completion time of the new facilities could slightly change.

“I’m excited for the new tennis courts because more people will get to come watch us play and we can practice during X Block at school. The design of the courts is very nice,” junior Arya Nanda said.
