Freshman Year Comes to an End
With merely six weeks of school left, Sage students are facing the end of the year. Everyone else on campus knows how the seniors, juniors, and sophomores think about the year, but what about the freshman?
We always forget the freshman, since they are the babies of the school.
“The transition from 8th grade to 9th wasn’t as challenging as I had in mind,” Christy Kradjian said. “Teachers and the staff helped a lot when trying to accommodate to the schedule and the new school.”
Freshman Margo Collazo explained that there is something different about the teachers at Sage; the teachers actually cared for the students. “Teachers and the staff helped a lot when trying to accommodate to the schedule and the new school,” she said.
“I have experienced or have seen is that the teachers try to help and will bend over backwards, so the students can succeed,” Maya Byrd said.
“Sage is welcoming and making friends wasn’t hard,” Capri Campeau said, “In Sage everyone is tolerant of each other and respect what each of us feel.” The environment here at Sage is like fairytale, except it will only keep getting better and we are living it, she said.
The freshman class has created close and special bonds with teachers here at Sage. Also, “The freshman class is that we have all grown very fond of each other and have become a family,” Beau-Michelle Riedelsheimer commented. “We need to improve more on the academic” explaining that teachers need to rethink their methods including helping with homework in class.
