Vehicle Collision on Newport Coast Drive, No Injuries
A single “vehicle collided with two trees and a center median” on Newport Coast Drive in front of Sage Hill School at 5:33 p.m. on Sept. 17, according to the Newport Beach Police Department.
“There were no injuries to the driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle at the time of the collision,” according to the NBPD.
The accident caused a traffic jam on Newport Coast Drive for several hours after.
Sophomore Kristin Saroyan witnessed the aftermath that evening.
“I was on the opposite side of the street … there was a huge vehicle that was completely flipped in the middle of the street,” Saroyan said. “It was the worst wreck that I’ve personally ever seen.”
