Red, white and blue. Sage’s Back to School Dance, from 8-11 p.m. on Sept. 7, is themed with these three colors – a first in Sage history.

“I know that Sage has had a lot of cliché dance themes, and Nicky [Boulos] and I wanted to make it different…something that isn’t too difficult to dress up for, since it is the freshmen class’ first dance at Sage,” said student council activities coordinator senior Sarah Groux.

Students have plenty of inspiration. There are 29 countries with red, white and blue flags. Some you may already know, but most such as the Czech Republic, Liberia and Laos are only familiar to a few.

Students are encouraged to attend the dance not only to spend time with friends, but also to earn points for the Sage Cup.

“I know that the one thing you remember the most from all your time at Sage Hill is the time you get to spend with your friends, especially outside the classroom,” said student body president senior Jackson Williamson. “It’s going to be an awesome dance, we’re going to be working hard setting it up, and everyone should come!”
