Our Freshman Co-Chairs

Grant Sheen, freshmen co-chair, described himself as “outgoing, friendly and a leader.”  The competition was stiff, but Sheen managed to win the votes and love of the freshmen class earning himself a position on the Sage Student Council.

Lovable and charming, Sheen had many zealous visions for the year to come.  “My number one goal as co-chair was to make our grade one big family where everyone was comfortable and happy around each other,” he said.

Sheen was more than qualified to lead the freshmen class.“When I was in elementary school I participated in student council. Also, in middle school I was school senator in 7th grade and vice president in 8th grade,” Sheen said.

Sheen also demonstrated a love and passion for the school, and hopes to leave having made an impact.  “I think the greatest thing about Sage is its amazing community. Everyone is so positive and friendly as well as very diverse in his or her own unique way,” he said.

“I want my lasting legacy to be making Sage an even more enjoyable place for every student in the school.”

“…attentive, compassionate and welcoming,” freshmen co-chair Heather Park, described herself.  With these traits, her charisma and wonderfully ambitious visions for the school, Park was chosen by the freshmen class to lead and represent them.

“My vision for the school and most importantly the freshmen class was to learn more about one another and become closer as a whole. I hope we really do become like family throughout the next four years,” Park said.

Park was positively fit for the job.  “I have had experience in leadership in 4th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade student council,” she said.

She loves the Sage environment and was eager to build on it.  “I think the greatest thing about Sage is the accepting…of others for who they are and the welcoming of others as well.”

After her position as co-chair, Park wishes to be remembered for her warm spirit and great efforts. “…and for my lasting legacy, I want to be known as a co-chair who was welcoming and created fun pep rallies that our whole grade contributed to,” Park said.
