Student life

  • Seniors of the Day: Sophie Rebeil, Winston Sun and Dino Romeo
  • The last Resume Writing Workshop is Nov. 12 from 12:45 – 3:15 in the Gordon Community Room. Students who want to apply for an internship through SHIP this year must attend. Email Bonnie Murphy for more information.
  • October is LGBTQ month! Sophomores won 5 Sage Cup points in SAME’s trivia quiz! Check out the racial/ethnic stereotype posters that SAME put up.
  • The instrumental room is open for all students to rehearse, practice and play music. Please put musical instruments back where they belong. Respect the instruments and the room!
  • Contact teacher Chris Disimile for a ticket to hear Leymah Gbowee, Nobel Peace Prize winner and Liberian civil disobedience protester who helped end the Liberian civil war, speak at UCI this Tuesday at 7 p.m.
  • Halloween Costume Contest is Friday in Town Square! Be appropriate.

Arts

  • The fall play Our Town is Thursday – Saturday. Tickets are online.

Sports

  • Congratulations to the sailing team, which won 2nd place at the Sea Otter Regatta!
  • Sage Cup Points for attending the girls’ volleyball game against Crean Lutheran this Friday! The taco truck is free for Sage students with their IDs. Frosh/Soph plays at 3 p.m., J.V. plays at 4 p.m. and varsity plays at 5 p.m.
  • Senior Water Polo game at Santa Ana Valley High School at 6 p.m.
  • To join the boys’ LAX winter league see head coach Chris Disimile in C102. The team meets on Saturdays. There are 10 sets of equipment for beginners!

Clubs:

  • Investment Club: 8 senior raised $100,000 for the Investment Club. They’re now looking for four juniors and four sophomores to join. Get an application from teacher Chris Disimile in c102 if you’d like to apply. The club’s profits will help fund Service Learning projects.
  • Physics Club meeting Thursday lunch in teacher Rachel Dunham’s room. Talk to juniors Connor Chung and Michelle Chen for more information.
