Senior Alexander Sun and freshman Karen Li will represent Sage Hill at the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall Nov. 17 with the prestigious Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra (PSYO).

“The most rewarding experience of the orchestra is being able to play with high caliber musicians from other schools who share the same passion,” Sun said.

Sun and Li have been attending Sunday rehearsals at UCI with talented musicians from schools all over Orange County for their concert. Tickets are available for $12 at the door or online.

“We have had the opportunity to play challenging music with talented musicians while just having a fun time overall,” Li said.

The Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra is a highly competitive orchestra that explores pieces usually performed
by professionals. It is considered the best youth orchestra in Orange County.

Conductor Alejandro Gutiérrez will lead the orchestra as they perform Verdi’s Overture from “La Forza del Destino,” Grieg’s Norwegian Dances and Saint-Saens’s Symphony No. 3

“Everyone should come out and support us,” Sun said. “You really won’t regret it. It’s going be amazing.”
